Addi’s mom wanted to commemorate a special event. This little lady turned 2 on the day of our photoshoot! She was so full of personality and spunk and kept it up right up until we were almost done.

This one should be called, “The Girl So Nice, He Married Her Thrice.” You may remember this gorgeous couple from their surprise wedding or from their engagement session at an airport. Their suprise wedding was such a blast and they truly pulled the wool over the guests eyes….but in a good way! If you didn’t read about it, do! It’s such a cool idea! They were then also married in their church a few months after the suprise. Guess who jumped at the chance to put on those wedding clothes on for a third time. That’s right. And once again, we had a great time. We went to a local park and people were congratulating them just as if it were the big day. Brian responded to the congratulations with “thanks, third time’s a charm!” We traveled around some different spots in Louisville, getting all of the awesome light. Then just as the sun was setting we had a brilliant blue sky in the background. It was so beautiful.

Renee and Grant are such a fun loving couple! Their wedding was an absolute blast to shoot. They were married at Caldwell Chapel at the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and their reception was at Gardencourt, just a short walk away. I absolutely loved that Renee and Grant wanted to have a first look before the ceremony.
There’s something so intimate about a first look. They partied like rock stars with the band “This, That & the Other.” Grant did his very best version of Highway to Hell. My favorite part though, hands down, was when Renee’s sister wrote and sang a rap song just for Renee to the tune of the theme song from the “Fresh Prince of Bel Air.” I loved it!

Charlie’s delivery was another surprise delivery. Just before delivery, bets were made and written on the white board in the room. Daddy made it back from the cafeteria just in time and he was so excited when he announced….”I have a son!”

When little Violet (Don’t you just love her name?!) made her entrance a few days earlier than expected, the sex was totally a surprise. Mom and Dad had no idea what she was going to be. Ever since her Mom asked me to be their birth photographer, I had my suspicion she might be a girl though. The first time Violet’s grandmother and great grandmother found out was when they came to the recovery room. My favorite photos from the day are the looks on their faces as they found out Violet was a girl.
What a proud Papa! It melts my heart! <3
